CHANTILLY STABLES
Inspired by the Dior Resort 2019 show, this collection hails from Chantilly,  a town with identity soaked in delicate lace and strong equestrians. This influence was married with the escaramuza riders,  female rodeo riders from Mexico who astound their bystanders with synchronized galloping choreography at break-neck speeds. Donned in fabulous full skirts with tailored riding jackets and sharp, structured hats, their outfit constructs a certain male/female tension generating both a whimsical and yet brazenly refined collection. For JCPenney’s private label, a.n.a, I worked as the creative lead with multiple suppliers, mills, and in-house design teams to bring the Dior show to life in a capsule designed specifically for our customer. These pieces were a huge success for our business from both a revenue and relevancy standpoint. Hope you enjoy this mini collection, which I had the privilege & pleasure of producing.
MOOD
Fabric, Color, Silhouette
With a clean palette of black and white, the fabrics were key for this collection. I sourced lace, crochet, embroidery, tulle, linen stripes, cotton gauze, trims, and accessories to complement the collection across multiple suppliers and countries. This proved to be a challenge, but excellent learning experience. Waist emphasis, ruffles, smocking, bare shoulders, and contrast embroidery were all must-have details that created the french-inspired tops & dresses for the collection. Full skirts, novelty shorts, & kick pleat jeans completed our looks from a related separates POV.

MARKETING
A sampling of all categories in final form mixed in with runway shots that inspired the designs. During my final presentation, the buyers loved the collection so much they expanded their slots and funding to pull together a cohesive story giving us trend recognition that the customer responded to.
