TRANSLUCENT MOSAIC
Inspired primarily by the natural distress and traditional colors normally found in mosaics, you will find dimension, layers and texture in this top of bed collection. I was also inspired by a new trend in architecture in which walls are stripped to their original state of distressed and worn surfaces to highlight and appreciate the past, present, and future in one building. The idea of seeing beauty in the past is prevalent in fashion as well as home with the resurgence of vintage and re-vamped antiques.
COLOR
The palette is luxe and rich with Indigo being the primary color coupled with accents of bronze and eggplant. The bronze represents traditional gold leaf used to depict light in early mosaic art.
DESIGN PROCESS
This particular design process began with trend research, photography, and hand sketches. Following presentations and critiques, I completed tech packs for production and sample making.
TECH PACK
This below tech pack was created for sample making and production. Translucent Mosaic is a 5 pc set comprised of a comforter, 2 shams, a bedskirt, and a bonus coverlet. I included additional decorative pillow designs to be sold separately.
