RED BEANS
The Story
The summer following my graduation from college, I was approached by two women, (sisters), who wanted to start a children's clothing line. Having always been interested in the start-up world, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to get involved at the ground level. At the time, I was living on a friend's couch and held this entire operation out of our garage.

I developed patterns and constructed samples for the Spring 2010 collection which included both girls and boys clothing. I developed Red Beans' slopers, determined the company's measurement chart, and consulted on all design details and decisions. I worked closely with our manufacturer and suppliers on all aspects of production - grading, cutting, sewing to produce the company standards and specifications.

The owners and I met for brainstorm meetings where we went over inspirational garments, design details, and fit. From there I created each pattern from scratch. I then held fittings at my house and made adjustments as needed. Once a prototype was perfect, I sent the patterns and concept samples to our manufacturer for grading and production. Please note that tee shirts in below gallery were provided from a separate supplier.
